The new owners decided it was a perfect time to consider a knock down rebuild. When they bought the land, they knew there was a possibility of endangered species on the site, but what they didn’t realise the actual impact that this was going to have on what they could and couldn’t build. With the stunning waterways of middle harbour on one side and the scenic surrounds of Garigal National Park on the other their block presented a lot of fall. With 2m fall over the building envelope and 11m fall from front to rear, they found it difficult to find a builder who had the expertise to design and build their dream home on such a step block.
